While feeling in the mood for a british TV comedy marathon I decided that it was time to re-watch 'The IT Crowd'. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it. Now I don't want to start ranting again about how we pay too much for entertainment in Australia but, here are the prices for each season of 'The IT Crowd' on iTunes:
For those of you who do not have a calculator handy, that comes to a grand total of $63.96 and being a UK TV show, there are only six episodes to each season. Does this seem right to anyone?
For comparison, here is the price of the box set that I actually bought on eBay:
eep in mind that the price for this box set included postage of the bulky item from the UK to Australia, not to mention the cost of the actual physical goods that had to be produced and shipped to the seller to begin with and yet this box set was still less than half the price of the complete series on iTunes.
The Australian pricing model for TV Shows on iTunes seems to be broken.
Maybe they should try turning it off and turning it back on again.
